And the fun dirt piles are still outside!!!!

So were were pretty happy overall to see the progress on the inside of the house. The drywall really makes the house seem more 'real.'  Almost all of the drywall is hung. Inspection for the drywall is supposed to happen on Monday and then the finishing can begin.
Missed this one-- the photo of the family room looking towards the fireplace.

Their insulation job

Best Front shot of the house since the siding has been completed

So for some reason I can't rotate this photo. It's the family room with full insulation.

So, their insulation job looks a lot better than ours, but I'm ok with that

All of the cabinets have been moved out of the garage into the storage area--glad that we didn't have to move them

Insulation Night--Itchy party in the garage

So now it REALLY looks like a house. The siding is completed as well as the outside stonework.

Some little gaps in the facing that we're concerned with. After discussion with Steve the gutter guys will make sure these gaps get caulked.

The cabinets have arrived!

Here is the majority of the insulation. Thanks to Dick and Miles for allllllll of their hard work!!!

Starting to look more like a house

front of the house with most of the siding on it

Right side of the house

most of the fun is just climbing hills and getting dirty

Little things like the gouge on this post irritate the heck out of me. If they don's sand it down to look nice, I'll be out there with a sander to make it smooth.

Off the Mark

I guess I was a bad class photographer on Monday after work. We headed near the house so we figured we'd swing by. We did see that our basement coat closet was added. The bathroom is also framed in. One issue is that the deck staircase doesn't quite seem to meet up with the concrete where the support will go. We've sent a few messages and 3 days later we still don't know what the correction plan will be for this. I only took one other photos. Odd for me.  I'm sure I will make up for it another time.
Standing in the storage area-- more walls than yesterday.

Basement Progress

So there is finally some decent progress. The framers have come back and the basement is framed. After looking through on Sunday we called for a coat closet to be added into the basement under the stairs.

the unfinished portion of basement--for storage

Where we decided to add a coat closet. the bathroom will be on the R side

It's really exciting to finally see the deck on the house.
